I first became interested in hypnotherapy as a way of dealing with the anxiety, depression, pain, and fatigue that were disabling me due to Fibromyalgia. I had been suffering for years and had been forced to give up my career as a Primary school teacher. I moved back into my parents' bungalow where I spent every day in bed or confined to the sofa and rarely went out. I knew I had to do something to help myself.
I started by downloading generic MP3 hypnotherapy recordings. I found that they helped a little in assisting me to control my pain and anxiety, but not enough. So, I decided to study hypnotherapy for myself and began to write and record my own MP3s, which I tailored to myself and found far more effective. I also learned self-hypnosis which I could use anytime and anywhere and started practising it daily. I was feeling so much better and realised that if hypnotherapy could help me, it could help many others, too. So, I took a course in hypnotherapy and after months of study, finally received my initial Hypnotherapy diploma in 2016.
I also studied Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), again, initially to help myself but then realising what an amazing tool it is and how much it could help others. I went on to complete an NLP Practitioner Diploma.
From October 2017 I spent ten months studying with Adam Eason at the Anglo European College of Therapeutic Hypnosis in Bournemouth where I earned my Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma (HPD) from the NCH. This is a recognised qualification by the NCFE and considered the best diploma in hypnotherapy. I am fully insured and a member of the Professional Hypnotherapy Network (PHN) and the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH).
I specialise in helping people overcome anxiety, children's issues and managing chronic illnesses. However, hypnotherapy is suitable for a wide range of other issues, so please ask if you think I can help. Wherever you are in the world, please get in touch to arrange a free 15-minute Zoom or phone call and we can have an informal chat.
