Managing Anxiety and Panic Attacks
Anxiety is a normal reaction to certain situations and we all feel anxious from time to time. However, anxiety becomes a problem when it appears to have no cause and starts to interfere with your day to day activities.
I know anxiety well as I spent many years suffering myself. It was hypnotherapy that finally helped me to feel calmer and able to take control so that I could get on with my life in the way I wanted to. I found that hypnosis gradually helped to change the deeper beliefs about myself and the people and world around me. Learning CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) gave me far more knowledge about how the way we think and behave affects our feelings. I gradually learned to use CBT techniques which really empowered me. When we work together, we'll use a combination of hypnosis and CBT and I can show you how you can also overcome the worry, anxiety or feelings of panic that have been holding you back for so long. It is always possible to update your beliefs and change the way you feel about yourself and the world around you.
There are different kinds of anxiety such as social anxiety (social phobia), generalised anxiety, health anxiety, and panic attacks. Do you recognise any of the following symptoms?

Psychological Symptoms of Anxiety or Panic

Anxiety affects us both physically and emotionally. Psychological symptoms include a number of unwelcome thoughts and feelings, such as:

Feeling that everything is speeding up or slowing down

Feeling extremely alert and on edge

Feeling that you want to run away and be alone

Isn't it time you freed yourself from those physical and psychological symptoms?

Reviews from Previous Clients
"I first found Laura through recommendation, I have previously had therapy but was looking for a different approach and wanted help instantly. Laura was available from the word go which I found really important when your mentally struggling and I just needed help, she got in touch and I was able to start straight away. To this day I am still doing therapy with Laura to keep myself in check, I’ve been having treatment with Laura for possibly the last 3 months and it helps me so much. For anyone really needing help just do it as it saves yourself, you are so not alone and Laura is so calming. I always feel she really cares at every session. So just go for it."

"I consulted Laura because I was feeling unusually anxious. I knew the anxiety was pointless and tiring, but I couldn't find a way to reduce it. I liked Laura's web page, and hypnotherapy seemed worth a try.
Laura gave me a free half-hour to begin with, so that I could decide whether I wanted to invest in a six-session package. I did, and I found it really helpful. The first hour of each session was spent talking, trying to draw out what made me anxious, and how I behaved around anxiety. The final half-hour was a hypnotherapy session. It was quite like a guided meditation session. Laura was able to draw on what she knew of my anxiety patterns to devise a visualisation therapy. I found I was able to look at my feelings in a different, slightly objective way, and to access resources within myself that I hadn't really thought about before. After each session, Laura sent me a recording; she also offered several other useful and simple guides to reducing anxiety.
I feel noticeably calmer having completed the sessions with Laura, and I think I've learned some very useful techniques. Laura is a very calm and pleasant therapist to work with, and I'm very grateful to her. All in all, very much worth it."

"Before starting hypnotherapy, I was the typical sceptic, who didn’t think it would work. However, after losing my job, being unable to go anywhere in public, or meeting up with anyone including close friends and family. It was time for anxiety to stop controlling my life, my father suggested I tried it and I’m thankful he booked sessions with Laura for me.
I’m the typical textbook anxiety case. Panic attacks, nausea, numb and painful limbs, migraines, you name it I get it. Medication was only doing so much. Laura really has changed my life.
I have learnt the tools needed to get me through basic life tasks that used to be like facing a den full of hungry lions. I can go food shopping on my own again, which seems like a basic task, but before I would be close to fainting at the thought of being in a shop.
She has given me the skills to be able to open scary emails, answer phone calls and make them without any feeling of nausea. I can now meet new people and talk freely without any thoughts creeping into my mind. I can finally go into crowds and not feel like I’m being suffocated.
Not only has she given me confidence in myself again but has given tools for me to use weekly to carry on this state of mind. Should it be needed, there are options for repeat sessions in the future to stop me getting to the lowest point again.
I could not recommend this enough. If you’re thinking about having sessions, do it. It truly is life changing and will change the way you view your anxiety and give you the tools to acknowledge it but not let it control your life anymore."

Laura is just amazing! I was having weight and confidence issues and needed help. I have studied counselling for years and nothing was working. I found Laura and had 6 sessions, and the results were better than I could have imagined! I lost weight, sold my business and started dating again. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. I have recommended her to close personal friends and we are all delighted. I cannot recommend Laura highly enough. 10/10 and as a side note she is lovely too and really easy to talk to. Thank you Laura.
