Often when it comes to losing weight there are many different factors that need to be considered.
What is Emotional Eating?
Sometimes, we eat to try and fill an emotional need inside us. Loneliness, boredom, stress, depression and many other emotional states lead us to the kitchen looking for something to fill that gap. However, as you have probably found out for yourself, this doesn't work. Often all that happens is that we end up overeating and feeling even worse. Hypnotherapy and Hypno-coaching helps to get to the cause of that emotional state and teaches you other ways to deal with those feelings.
Using Food as a Reward
How many of us were given food as a treat when we were children? Maybe you still use food as a reward with your own children? Or maybe your parents used treats such as cake, sweets or ice cream to cheer you up when you were feeling down? If so, it is very likely that you still use food to reward yourself when you feel you deserve it or to cheer yourself up when things are not going well. Hypnotherapy can help to change those associations and retrain your mind to see food as a source of sustenance, rather than an emotional reward or pick-me-up. I can help you find other ways of rewarding yourself when things go well or healing yourself when they don't.
Making Healthy Food Choices
Perhaps you need help in making the right choices when it comes to food? Nothing is ever completely out of bounds and I don't believe in "good" and "bad" foods. However, when it comes to your main diet, you need to be eating all the right vitamins and nutrients to keep your body healthy and your weight in check.
Maybe you are eating all the healthiest foods, but just too much of it. Many of us were taught as children that we must eat everything on our plate and we still hold to that to this day. Hypnotherapy can change this and retrain you to listen to your body and stop eating when you are full.
